In the past, I certainly didn’t hide the fact that matcha was just not my thing. I’d try it here and there and just could not get behind it. I wasn’t head over heels for the taste, and I always found it to be pretty chalky and lack luster. Well, guess what? You’re now looking at a converted matcha lover (I know you’re not actually looking at me, but just roll with it…)

Vanilla bulletproof-ish matcha latte:
You will need:
a high speed blender (I use a vitamix)
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 teaspoon high quality matcha (my favorite is ippodo tea )
- 1 scoop of collagen peptides (I use vital proteins)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ghee ( I’ve been loving lee’s provisions vanilla brown butter ghee)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk

Add 1 teaspoon matcha, 1 cup of boiling water and 1 teaspoon of ghee to your vitamix, swirl it around a little until the butter is mostly melted. Add a scoop of collagen and blend on high for about 30-40 seconds. Next, add in your milk and blend again until frothy and combined. For an iced latte, let it cool down for a few minutes before pouring over ice, otherwise pour and enjoy!
